In addition to his illustration work, Ron is also trained in the field of Fine Arts.

In 1982, while traveling in the American Southwest, he was permitted to attend Indian ceremonial dances. The powerful psychological effect of the dances opened a door to a people and a time to which he felt an inexplicable empathy. As a result of these impressions he began a series of oil paintings expressing aspects of Native American culture. Since that time, his work has been featured in magazines and on television. His paintings are in private collections throughout the United States and Europe. His oil paintings cannot be purchased from this web site, but are currently sold exclusively through Sanders Galleries in Tucson Arizona.
